So I did a thing today Jan 7,2023 I went to the chiropractor today. He told me that I hurt my tensor fasciae latae (TFL for short) and that I could heal this thing if I put in the work to do so. He was in my opinion better than the other chiropractor that I […]

The number 8 in numerology is the number for new beginnings. I picked 8 quotes from Ernest Holmes that are life changing. If you take these quotes to heart and really meditate on them. I believe you will resurrect something new that’s always been within you. I chose these quotes because they point us inward. They teach us that we have more than just hope. We have power. They also teach us that in order for us to unlock our power we need to take full responsibility for our life’s experiences. You heard me right, we are not victims over here. This teaching is not something that’s easy to swallow as many may believe. This teaching asks us to dig deeper into our inner being and boldly star at our good, our bad, and our ugly. To acknowledge that we are flawed and that because we are flawed we are not exempt from experiencing flawed experiences. We are asked to transform our flaws into greater expressions of grace.

If you’re ready to grow into your new beginning, please allow me to introduce you to some quotes that will help you do just that.

#1 “Never limit your view of life by any past experience.” …

I like this quote because it reiterates the truth of reality. We are not our past, we are who we believe ourselves to be. If you don’t want to repeat the old, you have to be bold enough to live from your new identity.

#2 True imagination is not fanciful daydreaming; it is fire from heaven.

Put some respect on your visions. Imagine what would happen if you took your thoughts about your future seriously. Just think about how much spiritual gasoline you are pouring on your thoughts if you believed that they were actually “fire from heaven.”

#3 Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.

This quote gets us straight. I like the way Joe Vitale says it, ” The meaning that give an event is the belief that attracted it.”

We are constantly attracting to ourselves events that mirror our beliefs about the past. It’s up to us to become revisionists of our past so that we are not held in shackles to our history. If we are going to make history, we must be willing to forget our history.

#4 Does this thing I wish to do express more life, more happiness, more peace to myself, and at the same time harm no one? If it does, it is right. It is not selfish.

I believe these simple questions are apart of the secret to finding your purpose in life. If you’re struggling with knowing what you’re here to do. Just choose something that’s noble and get started on a path. Life is like running in a trail. You can find yourself running on multiple trails to get to one destination. There’s more than one way to get to one destination.

#5 “I live in the faith that there is a Presence and Power greater than I am that nurtures and supports me in ways I could not even imagine. I know that this Presence is All knowing and All Power and is Always right where I am.”

Isn’t it good to know that this Presence that is better known as God, supports us in ways that we can’t even imagine. What’s even better is knowing that even when things are not going our way. If we can remember that we are always being divinely guided and nurtured, we can manifest miracles even in the darkest of times.

This belief is actually the secret. That’s why Paul in the Bible said, ” For we know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord”. If we are always attracting what we believe. Having the belief that no matter the circumstance is,  things are working for us and not against us. It would force the Universe to work things out in our favor at the end of the day.

#6 Meditation
I KNOW there is a Power for Good which is responding to me and bringing into my experience everything that is necessary to my unfoldment, to my happiness, to my peace, to my health, and to my success. I know there is a Power for Good that enables me to help others and to bless the whole world.
So I say quietly to myself: There is one Life, that Life is God, that Life is perfect, that Life is my life now. It is flowing through me, circulating in me. I am one with Its rhythm. My heart beats with the pulsation of the Universe, in serenity, in peace, and in joy. My whole physical being is animated by the Divine Spirit, and if there is anything in it that does not belong, it is cast out because there is One Perfect Life in me now.
And I say to myself: I am daily guided so that I shall know what to do under every circumstance, in every situation. Divine Intelligence guides me in love, in joy, and in complete self-expression. Desiring that the Law of Good alone shall control me, I bless and prosper everything I am doing; I multiply every activity; I accept and expect happiness and complete success.
Realizing that I am one with all people, I affirm that there is a silent Power flowing through me and them, which blesses and heals and prospers, makes happy and glad their pathway.
And realizing that the world is made up of people like myself, I bless the world and affirm that it shall come under the Divine government of Good, under the Divine providence of Love, and under the Divine leadership of the Supreme Intelligence. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

I don’t need to say much about this one. I suggest that you say this over and over. Try and memorize these words of fire, and watch your life catch on fire and blaze a new path.

#7 The more power one gives to his thought–the more completely he believes that his thought has power–the more power will it have.

This quote reinforces how powerful we are and how we are not victims in this wonderful thing called life. We can choose to focus on life-giving thoughts, or we can choose to focus on life depleting thoughts. Either way, we are the one’s that give them power. That means that we are the one’s that’s actually holding the power in our lives.
#8 Jesus was not the great exception; he was the great example.

There’s a passage in the Bible where Jesus walks by a fig tree that was not producing figs. He cursed the tree to wither at the root. His disciples saw this and didn’t think much of it. The next day, they came pass that same fig tree and noticed that the tree withered. In amazement, they told Jesus that his curse had worked. He told them the now famous a nd often quoted scripture, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you”

I’m not writing this to mess with your beliefs. I’m writing this to invite you to stretch them a bit. If Jesus told his disciples that they could do what he did, in fact, he said that with enough faith, they could do greater works. Why can’t you and I believe that what he actually taught is that he was not the great exemption, but rather he was the great example?

I believe that there is more out there for us to have, do, and become. I believe that we have to be willing to stretch our thinking to the point of discomfort. We have to be willing to go in spiritual hiding for a while. We have to get away from our normal and wholeheartedly embrace the new normal that’s trying to emerge within us. If we are willing to endure the discomfort of spiritual change, we can eat the fruit from the garden of new beginnings.

Jesus Curses a Fig Tree and Clears the Temple Courts

12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.

15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’[a]? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’[b]”

18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.

19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[c] went out of the city.

20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[d] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Mark 11:12-25 NIV

We all know that setting goals is very important when it comes to achieving great things. You want to have written down exactly what it is you intend on achieving. This practice of writing your goals down works for more than just business plans. It works for goals like losing weight, saving a particular amount of money, and even relationships.

But why do we need to write out our goals? We all have brains, can’t we just think of our goal and go after it?

Sure you can do whatever you want to do. The question is why wouldn’t you want to take the time to write down your goals, especially since they are important to you. Writing down your goals shows that you are actually serious about taking action on making your goals a reality. To see written on paper I will drop x amount of weight by x date, or I will generate 10,000 dollars a month in income by x date hits our subconscious minds a bit different.

Writing out what you are thinking makes it more real to subconscious mind. We tend to not take all our thoughts (selves) seriously, because we have a bunch of thoughts run through our minds daily. What we don’t do is write down those miscellaneous thoughts do we? Of course we don’t.

Writing down our goals allows us to flesh them out on paper first, so that we can see what we plan to give life to, before we put all of our efforts into it. There’s a plot twist to all of this goal setting stuff guys, that I think is so very valuable, especially if you intend on achieving something BIG…

                                                                                       <strong> Plan For Obstacles</strong>

Wait a whole minute that’s negative thinking, right? No that’s reality thinking. It’s spiritually thinking in fact. I am all for positivity, but I’m more in favor of reality based spirituality that gets results. Sticking your head in the positivity sand wont get you very far in the game of life.

Positivity doesn’t stop bad things from happening. Positivity doesn’t stop negativity from showing up either. It allows us the grace to dance with the negatives. It allows us to give a more impactful meaning to our unwanted experiences. At its core positive thinking is a system of thought that teaches us to seek out better meanings to the Why’s of life. I didn’t say avoid negative situations, because we can’t anyway. All we have control over is how we choose to view and handle the negatives that will inevitably show up. For us Supernaturally Fit folk, we know that all things ( negatives included) work together for our good.

<strong>"We have goals because they are worthwhile, not because they are easy" - Bryan Cohen</strong>

The pros like Destiny’s Child prepare for what can go wrong, and how to successfully overcome it if and when it comes up. You have seen Beyonce and other stars have slip ups on stage, and yet they soldier on as if nothing happened. They can roll like that because they train for obstacles. Average people just make plans and expect everything to go according to plan. When things don’t go according to plan, they think something is wrong and lose momentum or even quit. You are not average, you are Supernaturally Fit and you train for trouble so that you win no matter what happens.

I get it… life has been tough. If ain’t one thing it’s another. The pressure to keep up, the pressure to exist, the pressure to transform can all seem overwhelming. Work is draining, kids are draining, family, traffic, and not to mention this new goal ain’t easy either. We all want somewhere we can just chill and have a moment to just BE. The idea of planning for another hard time is difficult to do.

This is what I need you to know. There is something in you that’s calling you to step up a little bit higher. That something won’t leave you or forsake you. That something will send the people, the stamina, the money, the whatever. You and I have to be willing to prove that we really want this new reality that is our goal.

The struggles involved in achieving your goals are literally molding you into someone that you won’t even recognize a year from now. These obstacles are not just tests, but they are dress rehearsals that you must attend to get the part you know you deserve in the movie of your life.

So let’s plan for some obstacles. We know that they are coming. The difference is now we don’t have to only deal with them in our minds alone. We are using the power of paper and pen to write out our obstacles. What this does is helps us live in a state of conscious awareness.

Do you remember when you fell off your diet for the umptenth time. You were doing good on your diet for a few days. Then you have one of those morning where everything is out of wack. You rush out of the house without your food being prepped. Traffic is irritating, you don’t half way want to be at work, and because you are irritated that Snickers bar is looking might lovely. You succumb to your emotions and get that Snickers bar. You think to yourself it’s little so it won’t matter too much. Then your inner perfectionist shows up and tells you that you might as well go and eat lunch with your coworkers, because you already slightly messed up. Who can relate? What happened to you is very common. It wasn’t the devil either lol!! You fell back into your old pattern because you were emotionally charged. This is why we plan for these moments, and we also plan how we think and act when in them in advance.

Here’s a gratitude challenge that I think a lot of us will enjoy. especially since everybody has a cellphone that takes pictures. Also, with the popularity of social networks like Instagram, Facebook, and God knows what else. It’s clear to see that we like pictures.

The question that we should be asking ourselves is this. Do we really see what we’re seeing?

Do we actually look at the pictures in our lives with aww and reverie? Or do we take a glance and move on to the next thing that grabs our attention?

You know that we are all guilty of being in a hurry to go nowhere. Ouch, that stung a bit, didn’t it. Well, it was supposed to. That’s what focused gratitude is all about. Getting us to slow down and see what we have been missing. This also causes us to feel a bit guilty too, because we realize how ungrateful we have been in various areas of our lives. I personally believe that this explains much of our quote un quote unhappiness. You see, “it is not happiness that makes us grateful. It’s gratefulness that makes us happy.”

Here’s a challenge from a Ted Talk given by, Hailey Bartholomew in 2008. She had a beautiful life. Two healthy kids, a loving devoted husband, a roof over her head, etc. Yet, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing. She felt, blah… She said she didn’t feel anything for her life anymore.

She went to her counselor and was told to write down what she was grateful for at the end of the day. They wanted her to take just ten minutes and reflect on everything she could to be grateful for. The idea was that she would see what she was overlooking throughout her day, and that would create the internal shift that she needed. She did the exercises and loved them. She loved the feeling that she received from doing them so much, and she decided that she wanted more of that feeling. Hailey decided to remix the gratitude practice by taking a photo a day for a whole year. She’s a photographer and figured that doing something she loved like taking photos would enhance her feelings of gratefulness.

Side note: (She committed to doing this for a year. You already know that repetition is the king of all habits when it comes to forming lasting change. Hailey wanted to change her feelings about life, so she committed to going all in on her gratitude process.)

She took all sorts of photos and everything was fine. Here’s where things got interesting. She didn’t feel that her husband was particularly romantic. He wasn’t the buy you flowers all of the time type. They didn’t go out a lot and whatnot. One day, she was trying to figure out what would be the subject of her gratitude picture. She looked over and saw her “unromantic” husband serving dinner to her and their family. This is what happened next – “I was looking around the room, and then I saw my husband serving dinner,” she says. “In the corner of my eye, I watched as he put the biggest piece of pie on my plate, and I was like, ‘Whoa’ … And he was doing that every day — he was putting me fully first. But I was not seeing it because I was not looking.”

This reminds me of an exercise that Tony Robbins does. He asks people to think of a color like brown. Then he tells them to look for as much of the color brown that they can find. What tends to happen is that all day long, those people look for the color brown everywhere they are. The strange thing is that they find the color. They notice the color brown in things that they look at every day but never pay close attention to.

This begs the question. What blessings are we not fully experiencing because we’re not looking for them?

Here’s the Challenge:

Take pictures throughout the day and really look at them. Look for the beauty in them. The beauty that you see in them is literally the beauty that’s all around you.

The more that you take these free flowing type photos, the more you will become adept at finding gratitude in your world. You will also find it easier to make gratitude subjects for the day and find corresponding pictures that represent what your grateful for.

Give this a shot for 5 to 10 days. Set out each day to have a gratitude subject. Take a picture of something or someone that represents what your grateful for. At the end of the day write about it and really take the time to see what you saw.

21 Day Gratitude Challenge

In a study by Dr. Robert A. Emmons of the University of California, Davis, and Dr. Michael E. McCullough of the University of Miami, college students who wrote a few sentences about gratitude each week for 10 weeks were more positive and optimistic about their lives than those who wrote about irritations and frustrations. The study also found that these students exercised more and had fewer visits to the doctor. I don’t know about you, but that’s enough for me to give focused gratitude a try.

What is focused gratitude? It’s the practice of making it a point to set aside time to really focus on things in our life to be grateful for. This practice takes us a past the obligatory, ” I’m thankful for a roof over my head, my job, food on the table, etc.” This practice leads us into the nooks a crannies of life. For instance, I’m grateful for the neighborhood that I live in. My grocery stores have fresh food. I’m grateful for clean water to consume. Ask yourself this. When was the last time you really gave thanks for the ability to wash your hands with soap while you were out and about?

This gratitude challenge is a cool way to give us a little structure in our approach to practicing gratitude on a daily basis. It helps us tune in to the rhythm of the universe, which is love and forward growth.

Doing this for 21 days helps build and reinforce the habit of always looking for and seeing the best. ” Seek and ye shall find.”

Without further ado, let’s get this gratitude party started.

Day 1: Tell us why you chose to do this challenge and what do you expect to get from doing it.

Day 2: Write about something that you feel grateful for in your life today.

Day 3: Take a picture of a person, place, or even a pet that makes you feel grateful. Try to think of specific moments in time that you felt most grateful.

Day 4: Send a card to someone. It doesn’t have to be a birthday card either. Send a card to someone telling them how cool they are, or what it is about them that you are grateful for.

Day 5: When your in line today, whether it’s at the gas station or grocery store. Be sure to look the cashier in the eye and tell them thank you. If you want extra credit, give them a few bucks, and see how good it will make you feel.

Day 6: Take five minutes to wrote about how grateful you are for all of the wonderful things that you currently have in your life.

Day 7: Do a random act of kindness

This can be small or large! Not sure what to do? Try one of these:

• Pick up litter at your nearby park

• Bake cookies for a nursing home or neighbors

• Make dinner for a family that needs a night off

• Leave a kind note or money in a library book

• Pay for someone’s meal or coffee

• Leave an unusually large tip

• Thank a teacher with a small gift

• Get groceries for a senior

• Lend someone a book or movie you love
Day 8: Look in the mirror and love yourself. We are too hard on ourselves for all of the wrong reasons sometimes. Let’s turn that negativity ship around, and love on ourselves. ( Hey, if you find this difficult, you really need to do this more than just for today)

Day 9: Write about a meal you are grateful for. Write about your favorite meal and how it makes you feel. I love to eat, so this may take me , . Think about the fact that you and I can afford to eat the way that we do. Isn’t that a blessing.

Day 10: Buy someone something to eat. Don’t be too cheap about it either. It can be a gift card or someone that you are near in line while waiting for your food. You can buy their food too. Some people even choose to surprise the person that’s behind them in the drive thru and purchase their meal for them.

Day 11: Thank the Lord for your purpose. And if you don’t know what your purpose is. Give thanks for it anyway. The answer will come to you. Remember, your praise and gratitude open doors that money and education can’t.

Day 12: Pick one of your five senses and give thanks for them. I don’t care if one of them ain’t working as well as you would like. Give praise anyway and watch God move.

Day 13: Take a moment and give thanks for the folks around you. This could be your neighbors, coworkers, or family. Think about their unique talents and personalities that help make your life work.

Day 14: Give thanks for the negative stuff in your life. You read that correctly, the negative. Just write a small message of thanks about that breakup, losing that job, that sickness, etc. This is not easy to do, but I guarantee you that God has some oil in it for you.

Day 15: Today, we are going to live with the attitude that things are working out for us. Today, we will go all out at being positive. We won’t be keeping it real today. We will keep it blessed and highly favored.

Day 16: This is going to suck, but it will be a blessing. Pick a family member or friend that you have regular contact with. Try your best to view their actions through a positive lens. I want you to assume that they mean well, and if that’s too much. I want you to know that all things are working for you and not against you.

Day 17: Write a letter of gratitude to someone that you don’t get along with. It can be a text, dm of Facebook, or an email. If you’re bold, you can call them too. Find something good to say to them about themselves. This is not for you to air out your grievances. This is all about you making room for the miraculous in your life.

Day 18: Stand in front of the mirror today and pat yourself on the back. You are a tough, courageous somebody. You are changing your life doing this crazy spiritual challenge. I think you deserve a round of applause.

Day 19: Think about a goal that you achieved and show that moment some love.
Day 20: Write a thank you note to yourself. Thank yourself for being a bold action taker. Know that you are not like most people. You are courageous, consistent,, kind, and a little crazy?.

Day 21: Take yourself out today. You did this challenge and that deserves some celebration. If you’re like me, you would probably go out and get that favorite meal that you’re grateful for ?

“With the end of 2022 now in sight, have you made the progress you planned on this year, Donald?

If you’re crushing all your goals and setting new ones – congratulations! Now is not the time to slow down, but instead capitalize on your momentum and tap into the success cycle with a Tony Robbins Results Coach.

If you haven’t met your goals for the year, you’re not alone – and a Results Coach can help ensure that next year you don’t look back with the same sense of disappointment. After all, how this year ends is how 2023 begins.”..

This is an excerpt from an email that I received from Tony Robbins. I didn’t get it directly from Tony, but I’m on his list lol!

This email pissed me off with myself.

The email reminded me that I didn’t do what I said that I would do at the beginning of 2022. It reminded me that I wasted another year living in limbo, because I didn’t get into my life like I was supposed to.

But this email gave me a special gift. It gave me the right kind of motivation that gets stuff done. It gave me ‘Discomfort ‘. This type of discomfort creates real action because you realize that you have been living a lie and have become somewhat comfortable at living uncomfortable. I’m not talking about that uncomfortable that’s needed for growth. I’m speaking about the uncomfort of working a dead end job, or being overweight, or living in a house that doesn’t represent who you really are. I’m talking about being uncomfortable and almost accepting it as life. That limbo place where you know better. You also know the habits that you’re supposed to be implementing to get where you’re supposed to go. But you keep falling off and before you know it a year has passed by, and you realize that you let yourself down again.

This email helped me. Because I made a promise to myself that next year I would resonate with the part of the email that says, ” If your crushing your goals and setting new ones- congratulations!”

That will be my testimony next year. I believe that because I’m actually doing something about becoming that man right now!!!

“Never leave the site of a goal without first taking some form of positive action towards its attainment. Right now, take a moment to define the first steps you must take to achieve some goal. What can you do today to move forward?” – Tony Robbins

First off, let me start by saying this. I believe that everybody needs ashwagndha in the medicine cabinets. Put it right next to Advil. Oh, be sure to get the right type of ashwagndha. I use Bepic’s Accelerate. I also, love Gaia’s ashwagndha too.

In fact I discovered the real power of this adaptogen a few years back when I was going through a tough time. By the way adaptogens are herbs that work by affecting certain body tissues and organs to reduce stress and fatigue and restore the body’s natural balance, especially when you’re under pressure. They help with sleep issues, hormonal issues, energy issues, and more. They basically help the body produce the energy that it needs so that it can run more efficiently.

Back to my story… Your boy was tired all of the time. No matter how much sleep I got, I never felt as though it was enough. This went on for about a month. I started to look up ways to help me restore my energy. Caffeine was helping. In fact caffeine was apart of my problem. My thyroid was overworked with all of the caffeine, stress, and poor dietary choices that I was making. Something had to happen.

Someone told me about ashwagndha and that it could possibly help me out. I thought what the heck let me try. Plus, the person that told me was a natural health nut, so I figured they knew what to do.

I purchased the Gaia brand of ashwagndha. ( Now y’all know that I distribute products with ashwagndha in them, but I have to keep it real and tell you my story and results the way they actually happened. My products are good too, but this Gaia I feel saved your boy’s health).

After about three days of taking that ashwagndha I began to literally feel like a new man. I cut out the energy drinks ( I’m sorry I love the way they taste?), and watched my diet more carefully, voila I felt like a human again. This stuff works. I still use it till this day, and swear by it.

Just in case you wanted a little more info ashwagndha. It’s an Ayurvedic herb known as Indian ginseng, winter cherry or by its scientific name Withania somnifera, ashwagandha is a herbal shrub whose roots and berries are used for their medicinal properties.

It’s been known to help primarily with stress and anxiety. But if you know like I know. Stress is the root of all disease. This means that stress effects pretty much everything in our lives. So when you read this list of benefits from this magic herb, you can better see why it helps with so many functions.

Relieves Stress and Anxiety.

• Lowers Blood Sugar and Fat. …

• Increases Muscle and Strength. …

• Improves Sexual Function in Women. …

• Boosts Fertility and Testosterone Levels in Men. …

• Sharpens Focus and Memory. …

Supports Heart Health.

I’m telling you if you don’t have some ashwagndha in your life you are seriously missing out.

Here’s something that I have discovered.

You have to impose your will on yourself and Universal Forces at times.

Not all of the time, because there is a such thing as God’s sovereign will. I know that we live in a culture that likes to believe that they can name it and claim it. While that is true in a lot of instances, it’s not true in all. Heck I prayed, believed, and declared that my mother would live through our last hospital scare. But she didn’t. She had pneumonia and it had gotten really bad. So bad until the doctors had to intubate her. That was beyond rough for me. The whole prayer thing didn’t seem to work then. I know that you can think of some situations in your life where it may have appeared that prayer didn’t work. I personally believe that situations like these are the reasons that church (religion) doesn’t appeal to so many. I believe the pain that comes with believing for the best, or should I say what we believe the best is, is the reason that we struggle with our prayer lives. We struggle with having the energy and courage to pray, because prayer feels like a game of craps.

I understand and I get it. I also understand and believe that we are not as smart as we think that we are. We really don’t know what’s best for ourselves. Because I believe that, I also believe that the main purpose of prayer is not get stuff, change an unwilling God’s mind, or to somehow manipulate the atmosphere to bend to our will. I believe that prayers main purpose is to change us. Think about it, God knows everything already. We’re dealing with divine consciousness here, not some family member. So if God already knows everything, telling Him about your situation is much like sending Him an email that He already knows is coming, He already knows the answer to. It’s pointless for God, but essential for us. We as humans (finite beings) are limited by time and other stuff. So we need to get our thoughts out into the atmosphere if you will. We also, need to position ourselves in postures to be able to hear and receive divine counsel (ideas, direction, etc). It’s hard for us to have anything get through to us while we’re up and going. It’s in those moments of silence, and contemplative stillness are we able to hear what the divine has to say. May I add that even in our silence we can still not hear properly. Our ego’s can sometimes get in the way.

How To Impose Your Will On                                 The Universe?

You can’t really lol!!

I wrote it because it sounded cool.

Also, I wrote it because there’s a universe inside of each of us. There’s a world of living breathing thoughts. These are responsible for your current reality. So if there is anyone or thing that we are going to be imposing our will on, it’s ourselves.

“We must be convinced that abundance is the natural state of the universe. To experience and accept abundance in our life, we must be convinced that as we conceive and believe, the universe handles the details.” – Ernest Holmes

Life is meant to be lived. I’m really beginning to believe and feel that statement in more profound ways.

I currently work in the grocery business. I’ve  become known as the ‘Cooler King’ in my company. The reason for that is because I have sold quiet a bit of coolers (the kind that you see while you’re waiting in line at the grocery store). Generally companies like Coke, Dr Pepper, and Pepsi get all of the action in the stores. I work for a smaller flavored water company, that’s not even distributed by any of the big distributors either. I’m telling you this because getting a store to allow you to place a cooler in their store is a big deal in this industry.

Well a few months back all was going well until I got a call from my merchandiser that one of my stores took our cooler out and placed it in the back of the store. This was horrible because it’s so hard to get these coolers into stores. My immediate thought was, what will I do with this cooler now!!

Something told me to keep the cooler on the truck until you’re able to place it in another store. That’s stupid!! These coolers are big and it would be in my way and there’s a strong chance that the cooler could be damaged.

I kept the cooler on the truck. I didn’t complain about having to pick it up either. I forced my mind to believe that we were going to get this sold to another store. Keeping the cooler on the truck was a way to force me to BELIEVE.

Guess what!! I picked that thing up Wednesday and got it placed in another store by Friday of the same week.

                     How Did I Manifest This?

I didn’t know what store would accept the cooler. Here’s the deal I had prospects that could possibly accept it, because I showed up everyday and did my job. I am always mentioning coolers to various accounts. Remember I’m the Cooler King.  I’m the Cooler King because I always think, boy wouldn’t it be nice for this store to have a cooler. It’s always in the forefront of my mind. Also, I’m always in the field serving my accounts.

I could make a demand because I lived from a place of demand. I was not afraid to ask for what I wanted (You have not because you ask not – James 4:2). I was always out prospecting. Faith like this comes from work. The work aka the repetition of doing things in a certain way changes you.

I’m writing this because today I was told that another store wants me to remove a cooler. There’s nothing wrong, they just want to put something else in the spot that we’re in.

I’m going to pray for clear direction. Offer the cooler over and over to other accounts that I have a relationship with. Pick up the cooler at the right time, and hold it on the truck until it’s sold. I’m not upset. In fact I’m happy because I believe that it’s all apart of God’s plan. If He brought it to me, He brought a way to make it work out for my good with it. Amen

Here are some practical steps:

1) Pray regularly for divine alignment.

This will give you the courage to do what you wouldn’t ordinarily do.

2) Live from a place of reverential alertness and gratitude.

Basically, this means that you know that everything happens for a reason, and you just so happen to believe that the reason is working for your greatest good.

3) When you feel that nudge that tells you to believe even when it doesn’t make sense. Go all out and make that thing come true. Notice I said make, that means be prepared to put in some work. Here’s the caveat. You work from a place of expectancy, not worry.

4) Live Prayerfully so that when you’re out there working and your mind is tempted to doubt. You replace your doubts immediately with expectation. This is called active faith.

People who are insecure about themselves love to seek flaws in others.

This quote hits me hard right in the chest. In a weird way the quote is like what Jesus said about judgmental people. “Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly]. Matt 7:1 Amplified Version

This is so true. I found that when I’m out here running my mouth talking about other people negatively ( judging, overly criticizing, minding their business and not my own) I’m actually taking attention off of myself. This in turn takes away my focus and energy. I’m focused on their life, and that takes energy that I should be using to better my own situation.

This leaves mentally drained whether I realize it or not. So I never really go as hard as I can and should at my own goals. I believe this is why the church is not as powerful as it could be. There are too many nosey and judgemental people not seeing themselves for who they really are.

Back to me and you.

Have you noticed that when you’re really focused on achieving something you don’t have time to focus on what somebody else is doing or not doing? In fact you get aggravated when folk come around distracting you with gossip and what not.

It hurts but it’s a good hurt to know that all of this time I was actually being insecure in my own gifting and abilities. I would focus on the negatives in someone else’s life so that I could blind myself to my own mess.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t let my insecurities block me from my purpose any longer. Wasting my energy on other folks business while I procrastinate on taking massive action in my life is spiritually unacceptable. Our energy really does go where our attention goes, and I want mine to go my best life.

“You will struggle to focus until you give yourself a clear deadline.”

Please read that quote again. Family that is one of the biggest mind hacks to focus.

A clear and definite deadline. Having to accomplish something by a particular time really makes us time conscious. Also, it gives us a shocking revelation about who we are as individuals.

Let’s dig into this

Deadlines Make Us Time Conscious

We can really waste some time as humans. You could say that we don’t value time. While that’s true, I believe that it’s equally true that we don’t accurately measure time. We don’t feel the real weight of time. That’s why we find ourselves saying often that our time has gotten away from us.

“Having a deadline makes us realize that our time is finite” – Unknown

I believe that our innate desire to live somewhat on autopilot is the main reason that we find it so easy to lose focus. Our reticular activating system (ras) for short serves to help us focus on what’s important and also, it keeps us from being inundated with too many sensory details. Details such as feeling our heart beats or knowing everything that’s going on inside of us and around us. Knowing and feeling all of that data would drive us insane. We would literally go crazy from information overload.

We love to operate on autopilot because our brains are actually kind of lazy. It takes energy to think that’s why most of us remember our way through life. Having a deadline literally creates an ever present sense of urgency that we need to get our goals accomplished. Depending on the goal and how conscious aka  (uncomfortable) we have to become to achieve it, is often the determining factor to us actually accomplishing our goals.

Giving ourselves a clear and definite deadline shocks us and causes us to reassess how we are actually spending our time. We begin to see time as the precious currency that it is. If we wisely invest in non time wasting activities we will be blessed with a hefty return on our investment.

Deadlines Push Us To Create Structure

Have you ever felt like you wanted to do something, but immediately you feel overwhelmed because you don’t know where to start? For instance, you want to lose 50lbs like me. You want to drop this weight quickly. The thought of being uncomfortable in your clothes has finally gotten to you and you just can’t take it anymore. So you enter a weight loss challenge where you pay to participate, and the top prize is 1000 dollars. You really want to win that thousand dollars, but even more you want to win at being yourself. You know deep down that if you give this thing your all something different is going to alive inside of you. That alive feeling is more important than money.

What do you do? You’re overweight and chances are you’re at an age where you just don’t operate the same if you know what I mean.

Do you start with exercising, diet, mindset, new gym, etc? What type of program should you be using to train? How much cardio, what kind of cardio, what’s the best time for cardio, do you do your cardio fasted or not fasted? The questions can go on and on, and it’s real easy to end up doing a bunch of nothing because your not structured.

You know that in order for you to win this thing, you’regoing to need to drop some real weight. So you choose the goal to lose 30 lbs. The challenge is 4 weeks long, so that gives you 4 weeks to make this thing happen. Hey, that sounds like that’s real hard to do, you may say. Exactly, that’s the point.  Yes, it’s hard, but it’s definitely doable. Now you have to get really dialed in so that you can create a structure that will support this intense goal of yours.

You want to feel proud of yourself. You want the bragging rights to tell your peeps that you crushed this challenge. Let’s not forget that you want to win that thousand dollars too.

This is all that matters now. You’re focused and you don’t have much time. You are on the internet searching for the best routines. You are already going to the gym figuring out what works for you. You are trying out different workouts and you’re noticing what you can handle. Voila you got a plan. It may not be perfect, but perfection doesn’t really exist anyway. You know from your research that you need to get plenty of cardio in and be in a caloric deficit. You also, have to be at work by 8 in the morning. You can’t watch as much TV anymore because you have to meal prep and get in bed earlier, to wake up an hour or 2 earlier to get to the gym before work. Are you seeing how the urgency of the deadline is creating the new structure of your life?

And lastly, but not least, learn to create deadlines even if you don’t necessarily have them. When we’re able to create our own sense of urgency without being provoked by external sources we’re tapping into our divine super powers. I dare say we become dangerous people when we operate like that.

Remember our goals need to be bound to time. If we don’t attach a deadline to our goals we inevitably invite uninvited guest like procrastination, fear, laziness, and distraction to our lives. Those guest never let us reach our goals, that’s why we have to arm ourselves with deadlines. Deadlines fight off procrastination, fear, laziness, and distraction with purpose and urgency.

As you may know weight loss teas are all the rage on the internet these days. From Golden OOlong Tea, to myriads of other detox teas claiming things from weight loss to healing hard to treat diseases.

This blue tea is nothing new, but it’s new to many of us who are necessarily tea connoisseurs.

With it’s vibrant color, the tea is sure to pique the curiosity of those who see it.

The tea is made from butterfly pea-flower, a plant from the pea family. Its origins are traced back to tropical Asia. It’s a fridge dried whole flower which is caffeine-free.

The Tea is Amazing for Diabetics

The tea helps regulate blood sugar levels. It is suggested that you drink a 4 to 8 ounce cup of the tea in between meals. Doing this will lower the insulin spike that we get from eating.

Weight Loss Without the Caffeine

The major player in the fat loss game in blue tea is the catechin epigallocatechin or EGCG. This catechin speeds up calorie burning and boosts the metabolism. How it does this is simple. In order to burn fat, our body must first break it down in the fat cell and move it out to the bloodstream. Our bodies have hormones that burn fat really well. Hormones like norepinephrine aka adrenaline, burn fat. EGCS can inhibit an enzyme that breaks down the hormone norepinephrine. When this enzyme that breaks down our fat burning friend is blocked from doing its job, our norepinephrine increases, and our bodies are able to burn more fat. In fact studies have shown that blue tea has more EGCG in it compared to other teas.

Antioxidant Rich Tea

The tea is full of antioxidants, this makes the tea a great for anti-ageing. The tea also is said to be great for the skin, hair and nails, because of it’s high antioxidant content.

The Blue Tea That I’m Using

My blue tea is extra special if you ask me. That’s because on top of the natural detoxing elements that blue pea tea naturally has. This particular company added some other heavy hitters in the tea to shake things up a bit. Ingredients like

  • Blessed Thistle (Cnicus benedictus)
  • Senna Alexandrina (Cassia acutifolia)
  • Pawpaw (Carica papaya)
  • Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis)
  • Ginger
  • Myrrh

add an extra boost to cleansing/detoxifying effect of the tea.

Blessed Thistle: Blessed thistle has been used for more than 2,000 years to stimulate appetite, support bile secretion, support liver health, support circulation, promote hormone balance, and more. Historically, herbalists used blessed thistle as a general stimulant and as a tonic to support the digestive tract. Bitter herbs such as blessed thistle help stimulate organs into a reflex action, especially in the liver and female reproductive organs. It also has an expectorant effect on the upper respiratory system, which may temporarily ease symptoms related to seasonal health challenges.

Senna: It is used to treat constipation and also to clear the bowel before diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy. Senna is also used for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), anal or rectal surgery, tears in the lining of the anus (anal fissures), hemorrhoids, and weight loss.

Paw Paw: The pawpaw or papaya is reputed to carry the most health benefits of any fruit and grows in abundance around the Pacific Islands. It’s been touted as been good for raising immunity levels, improving vision, relieving menstrual pain for women, and even anti-cancer properties.

Marshmallow: Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis) is a perennial herb that’s native to Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa. It’s been used as a folk remedy for thousands of years to treat digestive, respiratory, and skin conditions.

Ginger: Ginger contains powerful properties, calledgingerols, shoals, gingerdiones, which are rich with antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that may help to ward off these diseases.  Ginger is also rich with phytochemicals that help aid digestion and settling upset stomachs.  These digestive properties help to stimulate the body’s natural cleansing and detoxifying process by eliminating waste and toxins.  These properties may also thin blood, improve blood circulation and prevent blood from clotting. Not to mention ginger is known to aid with inflammation, menstrual cramps, and it also has anti-cancer properties too.

Myrrh: You know that if they brought this stuff to baby Jesus it’s some powerful stuff. In fact it would take another article to dig deep into the benefits of using myrrh. It’s great for immune health, because it was used in ancient times to purify the air. In recent studies, it has been found that myrrh can directly kill bacteria, as well as stimulate the immune system to make more white blood cells, which also kill bacteria. Myrrh helps with pain management. Myrrh oil contains compounds that interact with opioid receptors and tell your brain you’re not in pain. Myrrh also blocks the production of inflammatory chemicals that can lead to swelling and pain. It’s also a powerful antioxidant.

The formulators of this tea did their thing if you ask me. They placed ingredients in the tea that matter to us regular folks that need that competitive edge. I look at like this. Blue tea was already a star on it’s own, but when you add other allstar ingredients in the mix, you have just turned the tea into a Health Superhero.
